Summary:  The primary objective is to maximize profitability in a safe environment while adhering to CJB values – “RITES” – and following the CJB Way. This role provides leadership, development, and training for a highly motivated staff.  Additionally, the position interacts with customers to ensure their experience with CJB Industries is beyond compare.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Other Duties may be assigned.

1. The CJB Way
   1. Responsible for maintaining the principles of the CJB Way and fostering the growth of those principles
2. Safety / Environmental
   1. Oversees the development and maintenance of procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally-friendly facility.
   2. Responsible for reviewing investigations of Non-Conformities and Near Misses as well as training associates in determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
   3. Responsible for setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
3. Staffing
   1. Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels and training and development of managers.
   2. Ensures that all employees are trained in appropriate QWIs (Quality Work Instructions)
   3. Directly responsible for Laboratory and Laboratory personnel
4. Customers
   1. Develop product pricing
   2. Keep them happy by effectively communicating with the customer
   3. Help them make money
5. Manufacturing
   1. Responsible for cost effectively meeting manufacturing and packaging output targets and assuring accurate inventory.
   2. Responsible for ensuring the efficiency of CJB and temporary worker manpower
6. Maintenance
   1. Accountable for reliability of equipment and condition of facility.
7. Quality
   1. Responsible for ensuring good manufacturing practices are adhered to during the production of in specification material.
   2. Responsible for communicating concerns regarding quality to the President and communicating with customers to resolve issues.
8. Receiving / Shipping
   1. Accountable for cost effectively managing resources to meet shipping and receiving needs.
   2. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and organized warehouse.
   3. Guide the maximization of storage space for raw materials and finished goods
9. Capital
   1. Responsible for assessing priorities for capital projects and determining return on investment
   2. Ensuring capital projects are completed timely and within budget limitations
10. Other Duties / Responsibilities
    1. A part of the CJB Industries Leadership Team
    2. Responsible for ensuring evaluations of plant associates are completed.
    3. Responsible for overseeing, implementing and sustaining Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement initiatives
    4. Responsible for communicating issues and potential issues with the President.
